The Ministry of Tourism and Environment has stated that it’s aims are “Improving the quality of the tourism product offered, and to improve the quality of life of nationals of Antigua and Barbuda through sustainable development of the sector”. The document was published in 2004 and that seems like they’re on the right path. The Investment Authority mentions these 4 areas as ones they are looking for investors for: sailing/yachting, health and wellness tourism, eco-tourism and nature tourism, and cultural and heritage tourism. All of these options are good ones for minimizing tourism impact.

At present we have no green lodging or tours but an eco lodge in Antigua and Barbuda is a great way to explore these islands, please check back as we are actively looking.
