The Butterfly Club is an effort to promote sustainable
travel and eco-tourism with some accountability. Jem Winston
from Rosalie
Forest Eco Lodge and I have worked on developing an
eco questionnaire. The goal of the questionnaire is to raise awareness
in lodge owners/managers and people wishing to stay at eco lodges.
We are in the process of working out a scoring system that will
lead to 1 to 5 butterflies depending on how "eco" a lodge
is. The goal is a form of eco certification.
